The Coors Favorite Picks Award is one I enjoy creating because it reflects the connection between the cowboy and the fans. This award isn’t just about who performs the best—it’s about who wins the crowd. And that’s a special kind of victory.
This award is for the cowboy who resonates with the crowd. I wanted the bronze to capture that bond—the excitement, the energy, the connection.
Coors approached me to craft this piece, and like all my work, it starts in clay before becoming bronze through my lost wax method. It’s a labor of love, from the first sculpting tool to the final patina. For me, this award represents how rodeo goes beyond competition—it’s about the relationship between the cowboys and the people cheering for them.
