There’s a quiet truth in this piece that hits close to home. “We Were Both Green Once” captures two green souls learning the ropes together, each as uncertain and raw as the other. This horse, resting under a bare tree, has the look of one that’s seen the seasons change, maybe a bit wiser, maybe a bit weathered.

When I sculpted this, I wanted to show that feeling of patience and understanding that comes with time. We’ve all been green once, and some of us carry that spirit with us, no matter how many trails we’ve crossed.
