There’s something powerful about that split-second when a bull is in full buck, and the cowboy is just hanging on for dear life—or flying free. Right now, I’m working through three different pieces that capture this raw moment of action. Each clay piece is still rough, finding its form on the armature, but the motion’s all there: a rider mid-air, a bull twisting, hooves kicking up. These sculptures are about showing the thrill, the grit, and that fine line between control and chaos.
